What is ECO 4:
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) 4 scheme is the latest phase of a government-backed initiative in the UK aimed at improving energy efficiency in homes. Running from April 2022, ECO 4 is focused on reducing carbon emissions, lowering energy bills, and addressing fuel poverty by funding energy-efficient home improvements.
Under the ECO 4 scheme, energy companies are required to provide financial support to eligible households for measures that enhance the energy efficiency of their homes. These measures can include insulation (such as loft, wall, or underfloor insulation), upgrades to heating systems (like air source heat pumps or first-time central heating), and renewable energy solutions (such as solar panels).
ECO 4 Grants cover:

Home Insulation
Grants available for all types of home insulation, including external wall, internal wall, loft, underfloor, and room-in-roof insulation, to boost energy efficiency.

Boilers & Central Heating
You may be eligible for a new efficient boiler upgrade or the installation of first-time central heating.

Air Source Heat Pumps
If your current heating system is outdated, you may qualify to have a brand-new, energy-efficient air source heat pump installed.

Solar Panels
Start generating your own electricity with solar panels, funded through the UK Government’s ECO 4 scheme, to save on energy bills and reduce your carbon footprint.
who is funding the eco4 scheme
